The Project
Project Purpose and Objectives
The project, promoted under the Sicily RDP 2014-2020 – Sub-measure 16.1, aims to develop an innovative and sustainable model for Sicilian viticulture, transferable to other local contexts. The central purposes include biodiversity conservation, increase in organic production, reduction of environmental impact, energy optimization, and digitalization of processes.
The objective is to guide a young winery, representative of the Sicilian production fabric, towards a competitive transformation, taking it from a local reality to a protagonist in international markets, through innovations in agronomic, oenological, management and marketing fields.
Structure and Expected Results
The project is structured in five strategic intervention areas, with concrete expected results:
1. Sustainable viticulture

Introduction of innovative techniques for phytosanitary defense, soil and canopy management, rational irrigation, composting and support crops.

Expected results: reduction in the use of pesticides, savings on fertilizers and water, improvement in grape quality and increase in farm income.
2. Oenological innovation

Production of wines with low sulfite content and controlled alcohol level, energy efficiency in the cellar, and computerized traceability of processes.

Expected results: greater wine healthiness, cost reduction, opening to new markets and greater quality control.
3. Sustainable marketing and logistics

Adoption of green marketing strategies and logistics optimization.

Expected results: increased sales, penetration into foreign markets, faster deliveries and greater customer satisfaction.
4. Energy efficiency

Energy audit and enhancement of the horizontal geothermal system.

Expected results: greater energy independence and reduced consumption.
5. Digitalization and traceability

Implementation of advanced digital systems to optimize management and improve product quality.

Expected results: waste reduction, greater efficiency and enhancement of the final product.
